The Ashtree Junction and Station Road in Ballinasloe remains closed following a fatal collision on Sunday evening.
The three vehicle collision happened at the Ashtree Junction at around half 6 yesterday evening.
A man his 60s who died was the driver of one of the cars and has since passed away at Portiuncula University Hospital.

One other person has been taken to hospital as a precaution - no-one else was hurt.
Forensic Collision Investigators have been requested.
