Garda forensic investigators carried out an examination on Saturday, after blood was reportedly found in his shed on Friday.

The results of new tests at the home of Rooskey man Liam Farrell should be available within days, according to a retired Garda detective. Garda forensic investigators carried out an examination on Saturday, after blood was reportedly found in his shed on Friday. The 87-year-old was found dead outside his home in January 2020, and his family believes he was violently attacked.

An inquest returned an open verdict earlier this month. Retired Garda detective, Alan Bailey, says it should soon be clear if the weekend's development was significant:
