The remains of a man killed in an explosion in Co Roscommon last month have still not been released to his family.
Sources say the formal identification process is not yet complete.
Des Deegan, 72, died in an explosion and subsequent fire at his home in the Oaks in Frenchpark on June 18th.
His property was destroyed while other homes were also damaged.
Fire services from Boyle and Ballaghaderreen attended the scene and Des's body was removed from the scene for a post-mortem examination.
It's almost four weeks since he passed away, but his body has not been released to his family yet.
The results of DNA tests are still awaited, which are required to formally identify his body.
His remains will then be released for a funeral to take place.
Gardai say inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
