The refurbishment of Roscommon Courthouse will bring an end to ongoing parking issues for those attending court sittings.
It was confirmed this week that the Government is committed to carrying out long-awaited upgrade works at the historic building.
There have been no court sittings in Roscommon town for over two years, because of its poor condition.
Sittings have taken place in a temporary courthouse on the Racecourse Road just outside the town since then.
