The first public consultation will take place this week for a planned waterfront park project in south Roscommon. The major tourism project at Hodson Bay will include a new marina with floating boardwalk and a water play experience. Funding of over €1.3 million has been approved for the project which will be managed by Roscommon County Council in partnership with Waterways Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.
The public consultation will take place at the Hodson Bay Hotel tomorrow from 2pm to 7pm. Roscommon Tourism Officer Lisa Joy says the development will enhance the entire area:
