It's after local MEP Ciaran Mullooly confirmed Bord na Móna is due to start rewetting bogs in Mouth Dillon and Erenagh on Thursday.

A protest meeting is taking place in Co. Roscommon this evening over concerns farmers' land will be flooded in the winter months. It's after local MEP Ciaran Mullooly confirmed Bord na Móna is due to start rewetting bogs in Mouth Dillon and Erenagh on Thursday. Concerns will be raised about the need to clean out drains around the perimeter of the bogs, which are being clogged with silt.

Farmers say lack of intervention will cause the rewetted bogs to flood into their farmland. The protest will take place in St Faithleach's GAA club in Ballyleague at 6 o'clock tonight. Pat O'Rourke, agricultural advisor to MEP Ciaran Mullooly in the European Parliament, says boundary maps are also a concern for farmers:
