The Shannonside region looks to continue to bask in pleasant weather conditions. Counties Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon had each been hit with heavy spells of wind and rain in recent weeks.
However, the weather looks set to be mostly dry over the weekend. Cathal Nolan of Ireland's Weather Channel says the higher pressure will continue:
