Around 40 people attended a meeting in Roscommon last night to discuss the establishment of a men's shed. There are plans to set up a new shed at St Brigid's GAA Club in Kiltoom aimed at men across the south of the county. The men’s shed movement was first founded in Australia in the 1980’s, and has since expanded to other countries.
Currently, there are over 450 sheds in Ireland, with at least 10,000 men visiting a shed every week. Sean Kilbride says that while St Brigid's are providing facilities it'll be a shed for everyone in the area:
