Longford could be in line for a jobs boost, with plans lodged for a large commercial development. Council chiefs are due to decide whether to give them the go-ahead next month. Gazania Holdings is looking for planning permission for a two-storey retail and commercial building, with a car park, on the Longford Road, Drumlish. There would be four retail units on the ground floor, and two commercial units overhead.
The development would also include a new car park, with 53 spaces. The plans have now been lodged with Longford County Council. They're due to decide whether to give the development the green light by September 29th, with submissions from the public open until the 8th of next month.
