Plans have been lodged for improvement works at the Mullingar Resource Centre.
The HSE is seeking permission for the service on the Delvin Road outside the town.
Plans call for the installation of ground mounted solar panels, the extension to the existing car park and the construction of a new car park.

Also contained in the application is the addition of a new entrance lobby and single storey external plant room.
County planners will decide on the issue in September.
