Planning permission is being sought for the extension of a Longford Cemetery.
Fr. Charlie Healy has submitted an application for the works at Carrickedmond cemetery at Killeendowd.
Plans include the extension of the graveyard as well as the relocation of the existing entrance to provide better and safer sightlines.

The development also seeks to provide adequate car parking within the existing confines of the site.
County planners are due to decide on the submission in October.
