A planning application for a controversial wind farm in Co Leitrim will be lodged next year. A company intends building seven turbines near Ballinamore, according to local councillor Gary Prior.
They'd be 180 metres tall - which is 60 metres taller than Dublin's Spire - and 75 metres long. Councillor Prior, from Fianna Fáil, says the plans are at a very early stage:
