Planned increase in litter fines 'not at all adequate' - Crosby

Litter fines are set to rise from €150 to €250.

Fines for littering could jump under plans set to be announced this week.

The government is understood to be preparing a suite of new measures in an effort to tackle the scourge of illegal dumping.

Fixed penalty notices for on the spot littering will rise to €250, according to the Irish Independent.

Roscommon councillor Tom Crosby doesn't think the planned increase is enough:
