A local councillor has confirmed phone coverage issues at the new 50 bed ward in Portiuncula Hospital have been rectified. Ballinasloe based Councillor Alan Harney sought an update on the issue at the most recent Regional Health Forum meeting.
Tánaiste Simon Harris opened the new ward last September however many people highlighted the lack of coverage in the building. Cllr Harney says he is now enquiring about the cost of works to address the lack of phone coverage:
