Permission is being sought for the replacement of a 24 metre high monpole telecommunications structure near Elphin, with multi use lattice tower.
The replacement mast would be of the same height as the original structure, but would have significant visual differences.
The new lattice mast would include a headframe, antennae and dishes together with associated ground equipment cabinets.

Plans have been submitted by On Tower Ireland Ltd at Cleenraugh Townland in Elphin.
County planners will decide on the matter in August.
