Planning permission is being sought for the next phase of a major housing development in Athlone. Marina Quarter Ltd, who have permission for an overall larger residential development, Is seeking to construct 177 homes at Cornamaddy in the town. The development would be broken down Into detached, semi detached and terraced housing.
The plans call for 65 two bed homes, 75 three bed units, 9 four bedroom homes and a number of duplex apartments. The application , If approved would form part of the larger housing development approved for the site. County planners will decide on the issue in late December.
