Pat Forde elected as chair of Leitrim Local Community Safety Partnership

Pat Forde has been elected as the chairperson of Leitrim Local Community Safety Partnership. He was chosen at their first meeting in the Landmark Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon in recent days.

The Community Safety Partnerships are set up with the aim to combat anti-social behaviour and criminality by creating a tailored local community safety plan with input from the local community and public services. South Leitrim councillor Maeve Reynolds was elected as vice-chairperson.
