Over €80,000 has been earmarked for agricultural shows across the Shannonside region.
The announcement comes from Minister Dara Calleary, who confirmed 126 shows nationwide will benefit from the funding.
This includes €25,000 in Co. Leitrim for shows in Ballinamore, Manorhamilton and Mohill, over €24,000 for Longford Agri show, the Granard Agricultural Show Society, and the Ballinalee Connemara Pony Show.
Co. Roscommon received the most funding in the region at €34,400, earmarked for Roscommon, Castlerea, Elphin, and Strokestown agricultural shows this summer.
