Over €600,000 allocated for improvement works at 33 local community centres

The Community Centres Investment Fund 2024 was launched in June 2024 to provide investment for upgrade and refurbishments works on existing community centres.

Over €600,000 has been allocated for improvement works at 33 community centres across the region. The Community Centres Investment Fund 2024 was launched in June 2024 to provide investment for upgrade and refurbishments works on existing community centres. Roscommon has been awarded €300,000 for work at 17 centres including Clonown, Granlahan, Taughmaconnell and Tulsk community centres.

In Leitrim, 10 centres such as Ballinamore, Aughavas and Mohill Community centres. will share €195,000. While in Longford, Mullinalaghta, Colmcille and Lus Na Gréine centres are among 6 centres to get €124,000. Fine Gael Senator and Roscommon Galway Election Candidate Ashling Dolan says the funding will have a positive affect on the offering of our community centres:
