Over €5,000 has been raised for the family of a teenager who died in a drowning tragedy on Lough Ree over the weekend.
15-year-old Martin Greene, of Brawny Close in Athlone, passed away after getting into difficulty near Glasson.
Tributes have been pouring in on social media, and he has been remembered as a 'much-loved' member of St Francis Football Club in Athlone.

Martin's family friends have set up a GoFundMe appeal to raise money to help his mother, Yvonne, pay for funeral expenses.
Since Monday evening, over €5,800 has been raised out of a total aim of €6,000.
Martin will be laid to rest on Thursday morning at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Coosan.
