Over €11 million in national funding has been made available to support local communities.
The money comes under the CLÁR investment programme, announced today by Minister for Rural and Community Development Dara Calleary.
The programme will provide funding for small infrastructural projects in rural areas that have experienced significant levels of de-population.
Initiatives in counties Leitrim, Longford, and Roscommon will be eligible for the funding, which has increased to €65,000 per project this year.
Since its introduction in 2016, CLÁR has funded over 2,700 community amenities nationwide.
