Over 70 waiting for a bed at local hospitals

There were over 70 patients were waiting for a bed at hospitals in the Shannnonside Northern Sound region this morning.

51 were waiting at Sligo University Hospital. In the Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise, there were 13, while there were 4 in Mullingar.

Elsewhere, according to the INMO, there were 16 waiting for a bed at Cavan General Hospital.

Nationally, University Hospital Limerick recorded the highest amount on trolleys with 96.
