There were over 60 patients waiting for a bed at hospitals serving the Shannonside region this morning.
According to the INMO's latest trolley watch report, Sligo University Hospital had 52 patients waiting.
This put it second nationally in terms of overcrowded facilities.
Elsewhere, Portiuncula and the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar had 8 and 6 respectively.
University Hospital Limerick remains the country's most overcrowded hospital with 109.
