Over 5,000 people from Roscommon served in World War One, according to a new book.

Roscommon Forgotten Heroes focuses largely on the period between 1914 and 1919.

It'll be launched in Una Bhán Tourism in Boyle on Saturday, November 29th, at 2pm.

It was written by Boyle's Danny Tiernan, whose grandfather Willie served in World World One with the Connaught Rangers.
