Over 4,000 families in the Shannonside region are set to benefit from the Back-to-School Clothing and Footwear Allowance.
The allowance provides a once-off payment to eligible families towards the cost of school clothing and footwear.
A total of 1,545 famillies in Longford will benefit from the payment whilst just over 1,500 in Roscommon and 970 in Leitrim are also eligible.
