Over 100 people across the Shannonside region will formally become Irish citizens this week.
The conferrals began yesterday and will continue at the Convention Centre in Dublin today.
Co. Roscommon holds the highest number of successful applicants in the region at 57, followed by Longford at 35.
Meanwhile, 23 people in Co. Leitrim will be granted Irish citizenship during the ceremonies.
A total of 115 people will be conferred locally, out of a national figure of over five-thousand.
