There were over 100 admitted patients waiting on beds in hospitals used by people in the Shannonside region this morning. That's according to the latest figures released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation. The latest report suggests that 114 patients were waiting on hospital beds in Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar, Portiuncula Hospital, Sligo University Hospital and University Hospital Galway
The total across the country this morning came to 511 admitted patients without beds. 337 of those are waiting in the emergency department, while 174 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
