Longford Councillor Peggy Nolan says it’s not good enough that the HSE has not yet secured a location for the larger Covid 19 vaccination centre for the county.
In a statement to Shannonside Northern Sound news, the HSE says it’s in the final stages of a review process on a shortlisted selection of sites for Longford.
It says it hopes to have this review concluded and decision made on the selected site by next week.

However, Councillor Nolan claims that the HSE had been unwilling to locate a centre in Longford in the first place, until pressed to do so.
She says they are not willing to spend money on addressing shortcomings in either Longford Slashers or another location, despite having done so for the centre in Mullingar.
