No to Derryadd Windfarm group granted permission to bring judicial review into planning approval

The No to Derryadd windfarm group has been granted a judicial review of a decision to grant planning permission for a large windfarm in south Longford.

In June, Bord na Mona Powergen had been given planning permission by An Bord Pleanala for the 24-turbine windfarm.

The opposition group had employed a Leitrim-based solicitor to begin legal proceedings aimed at enacting a judicial review,m and they have confirmed this evening that the High Court has granted them permission to bring the case.
