Researchers think we could be entering a "new era" for Alzheimer's treatment, after a drug was found to slow the progress of the disease early-on.
It's called Lecanemab and clears clumps of a protein thought to be the key cause of most cases from patients' brains.
The evidence was presented by representatives from the Japanese Pharmaceutical Company Eisai at the annual Clinical Trials in Alzheimer’s Disease (CTAD) conference in San Francisco early this morning.
