Nearly 100 admitted patients are on trolleys in hospitals used by people in the Shannonside region this morning.
These numbers come from the latest report from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
It says that 18 patients in Sligo University Hospital that are in the emergency department are waiting on a bed while the other 14 are in wards elsewhere.
Meanwhile University Hospital Galway has the second highest number of patients on trolleys in the country with 64.
