A Monksland community activist wants to take Anthony Waldron's seat on Roscommon County Council.
Ernie Draper, 37, has formally expressed an interest in the position.
People can put themselves forward by May 15th, and councillors will decide on the successful candidate 11 days later.

The position has been vacant since Councillor Waldron died in February.
