Minister Dara Calleary will officially reopen an outdoor multi-use games area in Longford Town. The Minister for Rural and Community Development will be making the visit in two weeks' time. The MacEoin Park Multi-Use Games Area in Longford Town has been closed for almost two decades. However, works funded through the Community Recognition Fund have been completed at the park and is set to be unveiled by Minister Dara Calleary.
The upgraded park now includes an under-12s football pitch and new handball wall. The works also included the installation of equipment for older adults, playground equipment and benches. Minister for Rural and Community Development, Dara Calleary, will be visiting the site on April 30th.
