Minister: St Patrick's Day visits are not a 'jolly' for Government reps

It's been confirmed a third of the Cabinet will travel to the United States this St Patrick's Day.

A local Minister says foreign visits as part of St Patrick's Day events are not jollies for Government representatives. Minister of State Frank Feighan was speaking after it was confirmed that 50 cities around the world would be visited this year. The Sligo-Leitrim TD is going to Singapore and the Philippines as part of the diplomatic effort.

Meanwhile, more than a third of the Cabinet will travel to the United States this St Patrick's Day. Minister Feighan says the trade missions involve difficult and important work:
