Independent councillor Micheál Frain is set to become the cathaoirleach of Boyle Municipal District today.

The Ballaghaderreen man will replace Fianna Fáil councillor Sean Moylan at their AGM this morning.

He'll hold the job for one year and will get an allowance of 6,000 euro.
