The Forestry Minister made "no firm commitments" to Leitrim activists during meetings about storm damage today. Over 9,000 people in the county lost electricity in Storm Eowyn in January, and forestry was the main cause.

Minister Michael Healy-Rae met local politicians and Leitrim County Council in Dublin today. Leitrim County Council Cathaoirleach Paddy O'Rourke attended the meeting and spoke to Darragh O'Connor a short time ago:
