An independent mediator has met both sides to try to resolve the row over Ballaghaderreen's public realm enhancement plan.
Local residents and business owners are angry about the €4.5 million plan, which would see 47 car-parking spaces removed from the town.
Work has stopped as protests have been held on weekday mornings for the past 11 weeks.
Mediator Denis Kelly has held separate talks with the protesters and Roscommon County Council - and they'll continue into next week.
