An Athlone man has pleaded guilty to robbery of medicine from a pharmacy in Monksland earlier this year.
Nathan Devanney, with an address of Ashford, Monksland, pleaded guilty to a section 14 robbery offence at a recent sitting of Roscommon Circuit Court.
The offence occurred on the 13th of January at a pharmacy in Monksland where it is alleged the accused took tablets after entering the chemist where he was looking for methadone.

He has been in custody since the offences and number of reports are to be prepared ahead of his sentencing on June 26th.
