A man in his 80s is in critical condition in hospital after being struck by a car in County Longford. It happened at Earl Street at around 10 o clock this morning.
The pedestrian has been airlifted to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, particularly those with dashcam footage, to come forward.
