A man in his 60s has died in a single car crash in Galway.
It happened in the Newbridge area, near Ballinasloe, shortly before 10 o'clock this morning.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, his body has been removed to the mortuary at Portiuncula Hospital.
Gardaí have closed the road to facilitate forensic examinations.
Officers at Ballinasloe Station are appealing for witnesses.
