There are calls to make Roscommon Hospital a more age-friendly hospital - with better car parking and improved access to the facility.
Roscommon Older People's Network is to meet management of the hospital later this month. Michael Scally, a member of the group, says there is a shortage of parking near the facility, forcing older people to walk considerable distances. The Ballaghaderreen man says he encounters other problems during his frequent visits to the hospital.
Roscommon Hospital says it welcomes the contribution of the group and commits to working with its members on any issues of concern.
The hospital also says it is committed to actively engaging with patients, patients representative groups and family members to bring about positive changes in the hospital.
