The principal of Mean Scoil Mhuire in Longford town says the arrangement to rent space from Turners Print company is a huge relief for the whole school.
Aoife Mulrennan says work has been taking place around the clock for the past number of weeks to try to find enough socially distanced space for the 570 pupils who return next week.
She says with many of the classrooms only able to accommodate around 15 pupils the school has bene given the go-ahead for extra teachers, but there was a serious issue with lack of space.

The school principal says the building won't be fully ready immediately, but they hope to be able to house the a number of classes there for as long as is necessary…
