A motorist in Longford is to face court after an arrest for drug driving over the Bank Holiday weekend. Gardaí from Edgeworthstown Station were conducting a high-visibility speed checkpoint when they detected a motorist using a mobile phone.
The driver subsequently tested positive for cocaine following a roadside test and was arrested. Gardaí say court proceedings will now follow.
