A new study has revealed Longford ranks as the most expensive county in Ireland for car insurance.

Analysis compiled by Chill Insurance shows the average car insurance price in Longford is €1,042.

Leitrim is one of cheapest counties for car insurance with an average price of €596.

Roscommon is ranked 14th in the country with an average price for car insurance of €731.
