It's been revealed that Longford County Council is the best performing local authority in the country per capita.
The council signed off on a record €80m budget this week.
Councillors also agreed to a 4% increase in commercial rates however the increase won't apply to over 80% of ratepayers, because of the Small Business Support Scheme.
