A local Church of Ireland rector says a recent survey confirms people want no change to the religious status of primary schools.
Over 70 per cent of parents in Longford want primary schools to be religious.
According to the Department of Education survey, the rate is over 65 per cent in Roscommon and 63 per cent in Leitrim.
