The chairperson of Longford Chamber of Commerce has welcomed the latest development regarding the N4 Mullingar to Longford upgrade. €2.4 million was allocated to the project last week by the Department for Transport. The road currently services more than 17,500 vehicles per day and passes through or close to several settlements, including Rathowen, Edgeworthstown and Longford Town.
