Longford and Leitrim lagging in national e-waste recycling targets

According to the latest Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Ireland report, device consumption is reaching record levels.

Longford and Leitrim are behind on national e-waste recycling targets. An average of 7kg of household e-waste was recycled per person across Longford and Leitrim, less than the 9.5kg national figure. While Co. Roscommon exceeds the target, at a total of 10.5kg of household e-waste recycled.

According to the latest Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Ireland report, device consumption is reaching record levels, with vapes and solar panels driving a 75% surge in sales over the last five years. CEO Leo Donovan is urging the public to bring their e-waste to the nearest recycling point:
