Locals in Ballaghaderreen have reiterated their call for further Garda resources in the town. It follows a candle-lit vigil held yesterday where hundreds of people attended after a teenage boy was seriously assaulted in the town last Friday morning.
Speakers at the vigil included Sinn Féin TD Claire Kerrane and local councillor Micheal Frain. Speaking to Shannonside FM News, these people called for extra resources:
