A local woman has raised concerns regarding traffic on rural roads in Co. Roscommon. It's due to the Tulsk to Boyle road being closed until late August because of the upgrade of the N5. Diversions are in place - but lots of drivers are choosing to use very minor roads instead, including around Elphin.
Deirdre Parnell lives close to where the roadworks are currently taking place. Speaking to Joe Finnegan Show this morning, she says there was major traffic on one of the rural roads last Sunday due to the Mayo Donegal game taking place in Roscommon Town:
